![]() Free Internet access was not much faster than a 56K modem. Not very many TV channels to select from, however. Bathroom was well stocked and everything worked fine. On the up side, the breakfast and dinner buffet was very good, (they charge extra for coffee at the breakfast buffet) the room was large and the bed was comfy. Also, to get to the restaurant (also non-smoking but also reeks) you have to walk through the gambling area which is again, heavy with cigarette smoke. Casinos in Phoenix are now non-smoking so I didn't think about it when I made the reservation. Gambling and smoking go together I guess. I should have known better, staying at a casino/hotel. I cannot put into words what it is like to sleep in a bed that smells of cigarette smoke. They smelled as if they had been washed in cigarette ashes. The next night I asked for a freshly washed set of blankets. The first night I had to open the windows and turn up the heat so fresh air could blow into the room. ![]() While I was unpacking my throat and nose were burning, and I kept coughing but couldn't figure out why. They may say that and the doors may have 'no-smoking' placards mounted on them, but trust me, it reeks. ![]() I asked for a non smoking room - "they are all nonsmoking" says the staff. I stayed for two days with the 'Ski and Stay package'. Very recently I stayed at the Hon-Dah Resort and Casino in Pinetop Arizona.
